How to delete your CMeIn data

You're in control of your account. There are three ways to permanently remove your data from CMeIn. The fastest is self-service from your account page. It takes effect immediately.

    Self-service from your account

    Sign in to CMeIn and open your Account page. The "Delete my account" button at the bottom permanently removes everything connected to your account.

    1. Sign in at cmein.com with the email you registered.
    2. Open Account from the navigation.
    3. Scroll to Delete my account, type your email and the word DELETE USER to confirm.
    4. Confirm: deletion completes immediately.
  2. Up to 30 days

    Email us a request

    Can't sign in, or prefer email? Send a deletion request to support@cmein.com from the email address linked to your account.

    Include the email on the account in the message body so we can verify it belongs to you. We process requests within 30 days (usually much sooner).

  3. Facebook users

    Remove CMeIn from Facebook

    If you signed up via "Continue with Facebook", you can also revoke the CMeIn app's access to your Facebook account at any time:

    1. Open Facebook → Settings → Apps and Websites.
    2. Find CMeIn in the list and click Remove.

    Revoking Facebook access prevents future Facebook-based logins but does not delete the CMeIn account or any data you generated. To remove the CMeIn account itself, use one of the methods above.

What gets deleted

  • Your account, profile, email, and login credentials
  • Photos you uploaded and photos CMeIn generated for you
  • Generation batches, location locks, and credits
  • Follows, messages, feedback, and reviews you've written or received
  • Linked third-party accounts (Google, Facebook) and OAuth tokens

Some records are retained briefly in encrypted backups for up to 30 days for disaster recovery, then permanently overwritten. Anonymized, non-identifying technical logs may be retained for security and abuse prevention.

How long it takes

Self-service: immediate. Your data is removed from active systems the moment you confirm.

Email request: we aim to complete deletion within 7 days, and never more than 30 days, in line with GDPR Article 17 and the CCPA.
